How To Create A Pendrive To Install Macos Catalina?

The new operating system released by Apple with the name Catalina corresponding to the macOS 10.15 version can finally be downloaded by accessing the App Store of your macbook or imac.
To download it is important to remember that it is possible to create a bootable pendrive before proceeding with the update of the system, since the installation file will be automatically deleted after the restart after installation is complete.
If problems occur during the update, we recommend a clean installation of the Mac OS Catalina.

1. MacBook (beginning 2015 or newer)

5. iMac (late 2012 or newer)
6. iMac Pro (2017)
Mac Pro (end of 2013; mid 2010 and mid 2012 preferably with a graphic card compatible with Metal)
General requirements
· OS X 10.8 or later
· 2GB of memory
· 12.5GB of free storage (OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 or later)
After downloading from the Catalina AppStore do not continue with the update but follow the steps below:
Step 1 : start Terminal by pressing " CMD + spacebar " and then type " Terminal ", or on finder at the top go to utilities -> Terminal
Step 2 : in applications you will find an app with the name " Install mac OS Catalina ". if you want you can make a copy in another folder but if you need to change the string you type in the terminal
Step 3 : insert a flash drive in the Mac USB port and remember that this drive will be completely formatted before the file copy process, if the pendrive is not formatted for apple we recommend that the utility initialize the pendrive in HFS and name it "USB"
Step 4 : Now copy, paste the following code into the terminal window and press " Enter ".
Enter from Terminal:

sudo / Applications / Install macOS Catalina.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume / Volumes / USB
Note: rename "USB" in the command above to adapt it to the Flash Drive name.
Step 5 : The Flash drive will be formatted now and the installation files will be moved to the Flash drive. Wait for the end of the copy process it will display 100% completed in the terminal window.
